Painting the town~

was the theme of the annual Toledo Summer Festival weekend. We thought it would be appropriate to paint part of the town......Holly House.
These are some random pictures of the project, followed by some before and after shots below.
We used grey recycled paint from Newport Solid Waste District. At $30 for 5 gallons, we thought we were getting a great deal. The paint went on very smooth, and covered the baby blue color with only one coat. We applied a second coat on the front of the house (above pic) but mostly because it is the side that gets the direct sun. The second coat went on in a quick 45 minutes compared to the six hour coat the day before.
Jered did really good on the ladder.

The pictures can't even capture how beautiful it turned out! After a solid 21 hours of work over a four day period, we are sitting back now and enjoying the beauty of the new grey/blue Holly.
