Pelican Update

The pelican was gone the next morning. I went to check on him even before I turned my computer on. It was quite a stormy day on the coast. I saw many other pelicans heading back down south on my way to work. I am hoping he found a group that was doing the same and headed back down south with them. It was excellent getting to observe these amazing creatures for such an extended time this year, but I am sure for their sake, they are anxious to get back down where the weather is much better for their little hollow bones. Maybe next time he migrates north, he will stop by the park and say "hi" again. I can only hope.
